911 Truth Rally

If you ask why 911 Issues are on a Cannabis site, all I can say is that the War on Some Drugs
and the over the top incarceration rates were once the most important problems in the US.
Now it seems like they were only practice!

February 14th-2009 Valentines Day
Our Next or 5th Anti-DrugWar Candlelight Vigil
From 5 to 6pm let's silently honor the fallen in The War On Some Drugs
At The Injustice Center on Canyon, pledging to End Prohibition Again
"For each unharmful, gentle soul, misplaced inside a jail"- Bob Dylan
On Feb. 15th, 2000, the Justice Policy Project estimated the total U.S. inmate of prisons &
jails to have reached the 2 million mark. On that date and thanks to The November Coalition,
Candlelight Vigils were begun throughout the country. St. Louis and Boulder continues to mark the insanity.

Make drugs a controlled substance like alcohol. Legalize it, control it, regulate it,
tax it. If you legalize it, we might actually have a healthier society.
-- Gary Johnson, former Governor of New Mexico, in the Boston Globe, October 13, 1999
April 20th-2008 4th 420 in Central Park
From HighNoon till apres 4:20 let's celebrate!
5420 in Central Park
What can I say. To give an alternative to Farrand Field Frolics at UC Boulder this is an alternative
(read adult) public party and protest location. I figured Saturday would make it more accessable.
John couldn't make the '06' party thanks to Boulder's Worst
the 420 Vids by David... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0xuuwPnGzY
More people die every year as a result of the war on drugs
Than die from what we call, generically, overdosing.

May 2nd-2009 Saturday
Our 5th Million Marijuana March - The Hill To The Mall
Again we'll join 200 city's worldwide. Gathering on The Hill at 13th and
College, we'll launch at 4:20 cruising down Broadway jogging up
Walnut to enter The Pearl Street Mall at the West End, ending

at Stoner Park.
For over 35 years New York ( where 10% of annual MJ arrests occur) has shown the
world how to cha-cha. Thanks to Dana Beal and The Cures-Not-Wars Organization

CANNABEM LIBEREMUS
2005 In Boulder, Colorado, marchers smoked marijuana, circled the courthouse,
and listened to impassioned speeches from Jeff Christen-Mitchell and others. "There's nothing more important in America than to fight for your rights. Free the weed,"said Christen-Mitchell, who heads the Boulder chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML).
"The drug war is mismanagement of resources.
I believe the drug war has done untold damage to society."
When you live outside the law you must be honest.
-- Bob Dylan
